Timberwolves Too Much for Young Spurs
The Timberwolves are rolling into San Antonio playing some of their best basketball of the season. They just swept the Suns in their last series, a team that finished with 45 wins. Anthony Edwards has been absolutely lights out, averaging 32.3 points per game in the playoffs. His matchup against the Spurs' surprisingly stout defense, anchored by Victor Wembanyama, will be the deciding factor. San Antonio, on the other hand, barely scraped by the Pelicans in five games. Their offense looked stagnant at times, and their defense, while good against most teams, hasn't faced an attack quite like Minnesota's unleashed on them. Minnesota’s scoring depth and Edwards’ sheer will should be too much for the Spurs.
I’m calling it: Timberwolves 118, Spurs 105.
