Look, neither of these teams is exactly lighting the world on fire. The Nets are 17-57, and the Kings aren't much better at 19-56. But there's still a game to play, and the key matchup to watch is Domantas Sabonis against Nic Claxton in the paint. Sabonis has been a double-double machine, averaging 19.4 points and 13.7 rebounds over his last five games, and Claxton will have his hands full trying to slow him down.
Thing is, the Kings have actually shown a little more fight lately, even in losses. They pushed the Celtics to the wire on Friday, falling by just three points. The Nets, meanwhile, have dropped seven straight, including a 104-91 clunker against the Pacers last week where they shot just 39% from the field. Brooklyn just looks checked out.
I'm taking the Kings to win this one fairly comfortably at home. Sacramento takes it, 118-105.
