Kings vs. Pelicans: A Battle of What-Ifs
The key matchup tonight has to be De'Aaron Fox against CJ McCollum. Fox has been Sacramento's only consistent bright spot lately, averaging 27.8 points over his last ten games. McCollum, meanwhile, is trying to hold together a Pelicans team that's just 3-7 in their last ten, looking a lot more like the pre-trade deadline squad than the one that briefly showed promise.
Sacramento, at 20-57, is absolutely playing out the string, but they’ve managed to pull off a few upsets at home this season, including a 122-117 win over the Rockets in March. New Orleans, sitting at 25-52, still has to feel like they let a decent opportunity slip away earlier in the year. My money's on the home team. Kings win a sloppy one, 115-109.
